I love this series and have read all 8 books at least three times. I was very anxious for this book to come out and was very disappointed. Originally I wrote about my frustration with the kindle price, and after reading the book, I decided to wait and mull it over to see if my reaction changed or if I appreciated the book any more. Unfortunitely, I don’t. The way the characters acted and spoke were so foreign that this book did not feel a part of the series. Normally, I can not put these books down, but it took me a lot longer to finish since I kept putting it down. Plus, even dragging it out the book just seemed way too short, especially with how the book was crammed pack with BAM BAM BAM event after event with no regard to Sookie’s reaction. I agree with other reviews that said the book felt as though someone else was retelling what happened in the book. After reading the great first chapter on Ms. Harris’ website, I thought the bar was going to be raised for this book. I can’t say that I won’t be buying book 10 (because I will), however, I really hope we get back to what Sookie and crew are all about.

What happened to $9. 99 on bestsellers for Kindle? BAD AMAZON! You (and possibly the publisher/author) deserve a whack across the nose. This book is a product like any other consumer product. Price is a legitimate aspect of the review, just as Kindle formatting issues or a bad index might be for another item.
