It looked very nice at first, but in a few months, it was very rusty and now it’s an eye soar. I’m looking to replace it. Waste of money.

I was overwhelmed by the frustration of installation. I put the rack together according to directions, screwed it into the wall, stepped back and realized the unit was completely out of whack. The shelves were not level, the bars on the sides were neither parallel nor even with each other. As I took apart the unit, I realized that there is no way to assure that the unit is assembled properly according to the directions.

Here is the process I finally developed, which was successful:
-Attach four horizontal bars to side bars but do not tighten all the way.
-Screw one side bar into the wall in the place you want it. (If you are screwing into a stud, you will probably need to purchase a longer screw to reach it)
-Using a level, find the proper placement for the second side bar, both level up and down and alligned top to bottom with the other side bar. I placed the box on top of the side bars to create a straight edge for the level.
-Screw the second side bar into the wall in the proper place. Don’t forget that the horizontal bars are still loose and you may need to move the bars together to find the proper place to screw the second hole.
    -Insert both towel rack bars.
-Again using the level, screw in the horizontal bars all the way from the sides.
-Place shelves on top of horizontal bars.

Once the unit was up, I was quite pleased with it. It looks very nice and seems to be very sturdy. Although installation was very frustration, I feel like it was a good purchase.

I’ve owned two of these, both purchased at “Bad Breath and Beyond. ” Both units went together easily, parts fitted well, and I’ve had no problems with rust as the other reviewer mentioned. The double towel bars are a bit cheezy — sturdy, but not very thick. After looking for something to give a lot of storage and a bit of style at a very reasonable price, I settled on this unit. When I moved to a new place, I bought the second one. I live alone — while the bathroom shower gets daily use, it’s not exactly Grand Central Station. I store towels and objects on it that aren’t prone to rusting (e. g. , chrome baskets). I’m considering purchase of a third unit for use in my kitchen.

Not easy to keep clean. I have one in my bathroom at the moment that I am looking to replace. I bought this shelf because my bathroom is white, blue and has chrome accents. It looked great for the first few months but after that the heat and steam from all the showers caused the chrome to rust. I constanly have keep up the appearance with chrome cleaner and trying to clean the shelves themselves isn’t easy because of the ventilation holes on the shelves. Every time I place something on either shelf bits of rust would fall onto the toilet top. I would recommend this for a guest bathroom or another room but not for a bathroom that sees daily use.
